Our asparagus are grown in Nervesa dlla Battaglia, in fields situated on the right bank of the Piave, where the soil is fertile due to the lime left from the river’s passage.

Description

Our agricultural business, Borgo Dus, grows both Green and White asparagus. From the same base-plant, you can obtain two completely different tasting products.
The Green, thanks to the natural process of photosynthesis, has a decisive and intense flavour.
The white never meets the rays of the sun until harvest. It is grown underground and covered with a black plastic sheet that prevents photosynthesis. This produces a sweet, delicate, refined flavour. The cultivation of the White asparagus is typical of the Veneto region.
